this is madness. my blogger posting window is screwing up the format is all WRONG WRONG WRONG!! Unless some weird layout change happened and blogger refused to inform me. heh. I always seem to be slow at receiving information like this.

Oh well school's been alright, we've been having mass lessons in the hall, and the best thing is.. I get to sit in a long row with people I like (Eunice, Mun, me, Viv, Su, Lizard) and not listen and play around and do the chicken dance sitting down and listen to emo on Mun's iPod shuffle and poke Vivien and text people and call Denise (even though she doesn't pick up cause she's sitting right in front) and doodle on paper and be Musharraf (Vivien is Bush) and watch Cassandra annoy Lizard and vice versa and play Bingo and Tic Tac Toe with Vivien and step on Eunice's shoes and make fun of Su and laugh like a maniac at small retarded things and talk in 'stoned surfer dooooooooode' voices with Mun and hearing Viv laugh madly and tell dirty and/or lame jokes and freeze my ass off in the air con in the hall and and and..

Well you get the picture huh? heh no, not like regular school at all! And come October 15th, I'm out of school! Study leave! and after November 22nd..
Mummy, it's OVERRRR!! :D
*excitementexcitementexcitement*
Kiss my ass siew choo!!

MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Oh I just realised I'm such a masochist. I can't help it, really! It's like a scab you really want to keep picking until it's come off, a blue-black you keep rubbing to feel the pain..
well I tried to stop but I couldn't. Urgh. Dig out my eyes, please.

Going to watch Dong's band, Spanish Fly, play tomorrow! And I'll watch Crossbred too, then maybe run off with my sweetie (:

hehe

Don't you think there's a certain painful beauty in words that are left unspoken?
Things that the other person will never, ever know, even though sometimes you desperately want to let those words burst out from behind your lips.
There's the sad bittersweet feeling of keeping something from somebody because you know it'll hurt them if you told it. And so you suffer, struggling to lock those words in your heart and seal your lips.

Oh well.

I see Viv's been spamming my tagboard again! hehe.
Hiiii! *waves*

Now I wish my other results would be like that!
As if that'll ever happen. I need a whole country of fairy godparents to grant that wish.
The self-indulgent "I want"

After getting the idea from Alicia Tan today, (who got her 3rd Generation iPod on ebay) I went searching and and and (!) I found a 40GB third generation iPod on ebay.com.sg!

The third generation iPod is so cute I like it the best and you can't get it in stores now! And I could have this one, all i need is *drumroll* about S$400. And I need it in 3 hours and 39 minutes as of 9:03pm, 230905.
sigh.

"Mint condition 40Gb 3rd Gen IPOD with all accessories ie. firewire cable, USB adapter, docking cradle, earphones, remote control, Pwr Plug, box etc. Everything is in pristine condition (Laminate wrap & pouch) plus will throw in earphones special plug/pouch bought separately. One Year Warranty starts 1 Feb 05 - 1 Feb 06. You can even do a 1 for 1 exchange to a new set within this 1 year guarantee period. This is the full sensor touch version. Shoe sizes and bad dreams

This afternoon I dozed off and had a slew of bad dreams, one after another. I can't remember much of them but when I woke up from each dream I felt horribly dreary, depressed and wanted to knock myself out. Pfft.

Anyway, today was dead boring in school. There was this talk that lasted for like four hours titled DISC, the title deriving from some test they gave us. It's meant to be about our personality, image and view of ourselves.

Apparently, from what people said, the test was very accurate. I felt like such a dumbass cause it seemed that everyone around me knew what the test was about and how to understand their score whilst I didn't know a thing.
But I guess the test was fairly correct as from the three resultant graphs I got, it showed that the image of myself that I project to other people is horrendously different from my 'private, core self'. Which is really quite true I think.
Oh well.

After that was some ACJC presentation and well, frankly, the way they presented the JC was really appealing, if I was even considering going to a junior collage. Although the head of sciences was this toad-like bulk of a man with no neck. heh. I wonder how his students pass, he's got a typical 'fat person' muffled voice and is as boring as a blank TV screen.

I saw the most amazing thing today! haha. Lizard and Su have the same type of shoews. Those chunky clownish ones haha. Lizard's shoe is much larger than Su's shoe, however when Lizard took off her shoe and placed her foot next to Su's shoe, Lizard's shoe is smaller than Su's shoe!
Even funnier, when Su took off her shoe, Su's foot is bigger than Lizard's! That means Lizard wears huge clunky shoes when her feet are even smaller than Su's!
HAHAHA it was so retarded.

HELLO SHAUN!! :)

Hehe since you're the most regular visitor here.

Exams are over! Whoohoo! But now there's the checking of the exam papers. Honestly, I don't know which is worse! Heh. I'll be sitting in the hall the whole day tomorrow, listening to talks. At least there'll be air con, and if it's too boring I can put my head on my desk and snooze! Well, I hope so anyway haha.

My new favourite band is OK GO!! (Click to link) They are SO CUTEEEE OH MY GOSH SCREAM SCREAM AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! hahahaha.
Go to their site, and watch the video for "A Million Ways" then watch all their other videos! I am so desperate to learn the dance. Now I need 3 other like-minded individuals to dance with me! hehehee.

I think I'm becoming a GGFF.
Haha thanks to Mun for that expression. Oh well Mun if you read this yeah well you could be one too huh.
Right now, the only person who matters is the one I love (: and the only person I go out with nowadays it seems.
See? GGFF.

It's self-indulgence.
Good things don't last. The empty pages of my heart have been ripped out and need to be filled.

There we go.
Your daily dose of emo.

I like this ad. And now I've downloaded iTunes and I'm struggling to import all my CDs again, where's my iPod? A 20G one will be nice. Of course I'm not picky. I'll settle for a 10G one if there is. haha.
Cheer up, emo kid!

Yup I got sick of myself on my blog so I put my emokid! haha. It's not really clear in this picture but he's got eyeliner and it's run cause he cried. His name's MAX! I think that's such an emo name - Maximilian. Don't you think so? Haha.
And well, he's the epitome of an emo kid. And he plays an acoustic guitar and cries. lol.

haha. Random acts of silliness.

Prelims are almost overrrrrrr! Whoohoo! Only chem/bio MCQ and art left. And I've no school on monday, even better!
The whole week's been great. With exams on, I've been leaving school as soon as my papers are over. That gives me more time with the person who matters the most (:
Almost like the old times, huh?
I'm so happy about that :D

Oh, do you know that ice cream can look gross?

icky, no?
Well I want some now.. yummy!

Do you ever wonder sometimes why cute/hot/pretty girls are with ugly guys, and hot/cute guys are with ugly girls? Is it true, in these cases, that opposites attract?
Haha I don't know, some random wonderings that've been in my head for ages since looking at people's photos on myspace.com.
Boredom, I guess.

Anyway, it's math paper two and biology tomorrow. I'm doomed, I'm sincerely hoping I get enough time to finish the math paper. And for bio? I guess I'm hoping for a miracle, like the midyear exams. I didn't study for those and I got a B3. Hopefully, it's a miracle that can be repeated cause I'm finding it really really hard to study for biology now.

I'm tired. But I can't fall asleep :(

Trust me, it was.
very, very ick.

Prelims! are gross. Literature! is over. Social Studies! is over too! Math.. is only half over damn it. haha.

Six months. Is six months a long time or a short time?
Is it a short time that feels long, or a long time that feels short?
Who cares!? Six months (:

Nic is an insecure kid.

I'd like more time, please. More time to do things.

Fucking prelims in two days. Just the weekend left and then it's prelims and I'm so so SOOO unprepared for it I'm really irrationally worried for the prelims even though like I told Mun, prelims are the small shit, the O levels are what matters, right? And I know I will work my ass off for the O levels. Do you believe me? or not?

I haven't done anything really interesting this holidays. Yes I know I should've been studying more but I get so bored sometimes. Not just bored with studying, but bored with my life in general. Does anyone ever get that feeling? Or is it just me, just defective, fucked up me?

I wanna play the piano again. I think I'm terribly rusty though. And I don't want to play classical stuff. Helllllllllllllllllllllp.

Anyway, Mun, cheer up, we'll get <30 for prelims together! Alrighty? Munieeeee someone's been feeding you nice emo songs! lol. You've gotten me hooked onto that Daphne Loves Derby song too! It's really beautiful. Idealistic and emo haha.

It's so nice to find people with the same music tastes. More and more of them are appearing! Now if only they'd all combine into one person, you'd get me and my weird, eclectic taste range in music.
I just compiled some songs into a CD to listen to at night when I want quiet, and I've realised that a lot of the songs are emo. hehhe.

And I read this somewhere! "Emo music tends to wrestle the inner demons of personal defeat, loveloss, heartache etc. while 'hardcore' tends to wrestle that big hairy smelly guy in the pit next to you."

ha ha ha.

my acoustic guitar is just so pretty!

It's already Wednesday. Two more days of the school holidays, then it's the weekend, and on Monday it's school again. NO NO NO NO NO I don't want to go back no you can't make me! To make things worse it's stupidass examinations when school reopens. argh.

I HATE SCHOOL. I HATE SCHOOL. every kind of school!

for some stupid reason or another.

I don't think I'll do well for my 'O' level art. Maybe I can hope for a C grade.
It's stupid, really. All I do on my blog is whine and put up random shit. Maybe I should stop. Argh I don't know. Moments of self-lothing and weird depression I guess.

Anyway, all that aside, I had a really nice day today :D

arghh fuck this fuck that fuck everything. everything's wrong. I wanna cry. I wanna die.

Friday, September 02, 2005

It's the September holidays! I feel kinda bad. While everyone'll be mugging their butts off during the week break I don't think I'll be doing *that* much studying. Uh oh. Can you say "naughty Nic, you're doomed?"

I hate myself for that, but I can't get motivated? And if you tell me to study and keep nagging, I'll turn around and snap at you, regardless of who you are. Or I'll feel really annoyed and irritated inside. haha so don't.

Yesterday I let Terry go! nooooooooooooooooooo it made me so sad. Yeah, I know he'll be happy, I know it's for the best, I know that I "did the mature thing". But Terry looked so small in the pond! After I put him in another terrapin swam over (I think it was a girl - typical!) and she and Terry looked like they were greeting each other. So sweet. And I just sat at the side of the pond looked like a loser with tears dripping down onto the ground. So emo. So pathetic.

On a lighter note to round off this post, I have to remember not to sit on the very edge of my chair in class and rock the chair on two legs. I did it once before and I never learn! The chair made this loud crashing noise as it fell and someone (can't remember who) said that she overheard Mrs Koh Mei Chin say "what is wrong with that girl?" HAHA Thanks, KMC! What a caring form teacher hehehe. I'll tell you what's wrong. I never learn!

At least I know how to laugh at myself but my butt's sore! And well, FRANCES HO I'm sure you're very amused huh! What would you do without me! :P

Oh well, my letter of request for my testimonial! My mother says it's "nauseating" and "the most sick letter she's ever read".
I am goooooood. Especially the last paragraph! People say it's good... up to the last paragaph! Then they say something along the lines of "BULLSHIT, NIC!" but what to do? They know me, so they know I've bullshitted more than a cow can. But.. Dear Mrs Lee doesn't! muahaha.

The Principal
Paya Lebar Methodist Girls’ School (Secondary)

Request for testimonial

Dear Mrs. Lee

I am Nicola Wong from secondary 4C2 and I am writing to request for my testimonial. The testimonial will be helpful when I apply for jobs or perhaps university in future.

Throughout the four years I have been in PL Secondary, I have learned things that I will keep for the rest of my life. My co-curricular activity (CCA) was the swimming team. Being in the swimming team has taught me discipline, perseverance and has given me determination and grit. I was also in the WITs team and I attended the 2004 Mega Camp. These two activities have taught me valuable leadership and teamwork skills.

PL has given me many wonderful opportunities. In 2004 I went on a Literature Learning Journey to the United Kingdom. On that trip I learned to appreciate Literature more, it also exposed me to places I have only read about before.
In the same year, I was also in the main cast for “The Father’s Hand” school musical. Being in the musical taught me about working effectively together with others and taught me that hard work always pays off. On top that, I have formed many valuable friendships during the musical period that I will treasure long after I have left PL.

The thing I love most about PL is how everyone, from staff to students, feels like one big family. This is something I will always appreciate because I realise that not many other schools, and certainly not the bigger institutions (for example, polytechnics) have this spirit of love.

Thank you for taking time to read this letter, I hope you will accept my request for my testimonial.
